Consolidated Industrial Gases, Inc. (CIGI) was formed in 1980 out of a joint venture among the United Kingdom's BOC Group, the Lorenzo and Aboitiz Group. In October 1999, in anticipation of greater opportunities in the Philippine market, the BOC group, one of the world's leading suppliers of industrial gases and foremost innovator in the application of gas products, acquired all of CIGI's operations. This move further strengthens CIGI's capabilities in providing its customers world-class products and services. Hence, CIGI now has unmatched access to leading technologies and gas applications from all BOC companies.
