Consolidated Industrial Gases, Incorporated (CIGI), the country’s leading manufacturer of industrial gases, has launched “Leading to Better Lives,” a corporate social responsibility program which aims to serve the communities where CIGI operates.

27 March 2008, Manila – Consolidated Industrial Gas, Inc. (CIGI) and Southern Industrial Gases, Philippines, Inc. (SIG) have invested a total of P1.3 billion in the upgrading and expansion of its plants in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and Cebu.

CIGI and SIG, the leading industrial gases companies in the country, will introduce new technologies aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the local food processing and packaging industry.

The Linde Group has appointed Dennis Jordan to lead its Industrial Gases operations in the Philippines effective January 01, 2007. After a buy out of the BOC Group (a UK based company) in February 2006, the Linde Group, the world’s largest industrial Gas Company based in Munich, Germany, now owns the country’s leading industrial gas companies in the Philippines.

Consolidated Industrial Gases, Inc.(CIGI), the country’s leading industrial gas supplier, was recently recognized for outstanding assistance in development and problem prevention and resolution from its supplier Chemrez Philippines.

On the 6th of September 2006 Linde and BOC began a new chapter in the history of industrial gases. The combination of the two companies will create a genuine global player, under the new umbrella brand of The Linde Group.

The first CIGI CryoFill Services was successfully conducted in a Philips F2000 Magnet at a large private hospital last May 30, 2006. CIGI is the only company in the Philippines that has the capability to offer both helium supply and cryofill service.

CIGI is investing P27-million to build a medical gases filling facility within its Sta. Rosa, Laguna plant. Expected to be operational by November 2006, the new medical gases hub is considered a milestone in the medical industry
